INDUSTRIOUS X HOPE & LACE X HELLO MAY

In case you missed it issue eight hit the newsstands nationally yesterday and, as always, we made damn sure there was a plethora of inspiration bursting from the pages. This of course includes our ‘Industrious’ shoot styled by Hope and Lace and photographed by Janneke Storm that we were lucky enough to have talented cinematographer Joseph Wills capture on film for us! This guy is one talented cinematographer and we can’t recommend any one of these vendors highly enough!
The minute we hit play on this rad little clip we were mesmerised by the stunning hair and makeup work of Avia Beauty teamed seamlessly with the floral styling genius of Kate Dawes Flower Design. We can only hope we will be seeing many a real bride adopt the simple bun, casual pony tail or relaxed tussled lock, each look as effortless as it is stylish, this coming season. Team this casual look with a statement gown, like the Amanda Garrett (stocked exclusively in NSW and QLD by The Babushka Ballerina) and Suzanne Harward gowns featured, and you can’t possibly go wrong. Add some sparkle from Grew and CoCeleste Twinkler and IAMU and you are really winning!
Now that you’ve got your look covered it’s time to move on to styling your industrial venue. Erin, owner and founder of Queensland event planning and styling business Hope and Lace positively out did herself pulling together a talented bunch of creatives to decorate Brisbane’s Powerhouse! What she created with props from her own stash along with the likes of The One Day HouseMoreton HireMoments in VintageGood Wood Supplyand Hodgepodge Hire is nothing short of breathtaking.
Throw in the little touches like vases and succulents from Melt Creations, stationery from September Creative, a scrumptious selection of cakes from The Cake That Ate Paris and a few Edison lights from AV Ideas and you’ve got yourself a mix heavy hardware, soft fabrics and splashes of gold that will leave you with an edgy, textured wedding reception that’s just as cool as it is heart warming.
Be sure to pick up issue eight of Hello May magazine, on sale now and stocked in newsagents nationally, to scope out more of this gorgeous shoot in detail. You can also order online via our friends at Mag Nation. Still keen on more inspo? Pick up your copy of the first annual Hello May Real Wedding Special here before stock sells out!
